At the beginning of the New Year, the fragrance of Buddha’s hand fills the air. A group of 25 Internet influencers and Jinhua International Communication Ambassadors from countries including Morocco, Yemen, Congo (Brazzaville), Turkmenistan, Vietnam, Rwanda and others formed a press tour group and ventured into the rural areas of Jindong District, Jinhua, to experience the New Year atmosphere and the unique local culture of Jindong.

The tour group walked through Beishankou Village in Jindong District, where Buddha’s hand elements could be seen everywhere, such as lamps, wall paintings, and exhibition halls. Liu Ying, an influencer from Nigeria, commented, “It seems that fingered citron has been integrated into every aspect of villagers' lives, making everyone prosperous.” Beishankou Village in Jindong is a renowned village specializing in the Buddha’s hand industry. Over the years, the village has focused on Buddha’s hand culture and has worked hard to explore the upgrading path of the Buddha’s hand industry, expanding its industrial boundaries and establishing an unique system to help increase villagers' incomes.

Here, innovative products such as Buddha’s hand jam, tea, lip balm, wine attracted foreign friends. Natacha from Rwanda said, “Fingered citron is very fragrant and its tea is very delicious!”

The press tour then visited Xianqiao Ancient Street, where participants had the opportunity to make red-printed steamed buns by hand and taste the delicious local specialty of Jindong District. In Poyang Ancient Street in Lingxia Town, the lively street-side shops slowed everyone down, allowing them to enjoy the local atmosphere. Wang Xiaole from Tanzania, who has been interested in Chinese martial arts since childhood, was excited to learn snake-style kung fu and experience the charm of Wu opera on the ancient street.

Finally, the group arrived at Bailu Camp in Jindong District, where they enjoyed the tranquility of the mountains and immersed themselves in the romantic, peaceful rural atmosphere. Wang Xiaole said, “This journey full of profound meaning will become an unforgettable memory in my heart, and I also hope to promote the culture of Jindong to a broader world stage.” Zhou Hui, an influencer from Congo (Brazzaville), said, “Today, I got to experience the local people's life and found it particularly interesting. I'm definitely coming back again in the future.”

In recent years, Jindong District has continuously explored and integrated international communication resources, amplified its international communication presence, and improved the quality and effectiveness of overseas communication. It has developed distinctive cultural exchange programs, strengthened international communication capabilities, and continued to tell the story of China and the  story of Jindong, making them increasingly reach beyond borders and be heard around the world.
